Our Mum

A special mum is hard to find, for that we know is true

You gave to us unselfishly every single part of you

Your winning smile, those sparkling eyes, the way you made us laugh

We know you were so peaceful as you travelled Heaven's path

Your memory is our inner strength, which lasts a whole life through

God threw away the mould Mum, the day that he made you

Whenever we are lonely and need your loving hand

We know that you will guide us in life to understand

That each day you'll walk beside us, we will never be alone

The only thing that's changed now Mum, is that you are not at home.

Opening Sentences:

Hymn: The Lord's My Shepherd

1. The Lord's my shepherd, I'll not want.

He makes me down to lie

in pastures green. He leadeth me

    the quiet waters by.

2. My soul he doth restore again.

and me to walk doth make

    within the paths of righteousness

e’en for his own name’s sake.

3. Yea, though I walk in death’s dark vale,

yet will I fear none ill,

for thou art with me, and thy rod

    and staff me comfort still.

4. My table thou hast furnished

    in presence of my foes;

my head thou dost with oil anoint

    and my cup overflows.

5. Goodness and mercy all my life

    shall surely follow me,

and in God’s house for evermore

    my dwelling-place shall be.

Hymn: I Watch The Sunrise - John Glynn

1. I watch the sunrise lighting the sky,

casting it's shadows near

And on this morning bright through it be,

I feel those shadows near me.

But you are always close to me

Following all my ways.

May I be always close to you

following all your ways, Lord.

2. I watch the sunlight shine through the clouds,

warming the earth below.

And at mid-day, life seems to say:

"I fell your brightness near me."

For always .....

3. I watch the sunset fading away,

lighting the clouds with sleep.

And as the evening closes it's eyes,

I feel your presence near me.

For always .....

4. I watch the moonlight guarding the night,

waiting till morning comes.

The air is silent, earth is at rest -

only your peace is near me.

For always .....
